You will feel so alone, so empty without her in your life.You will do anything to get her back but don’t go overboard or you might lose her forever.

Nevertheless , do not let your ex know precisely how you feel. Let your girl feel that you can stand on your own. I always answer yes… in most cases.

 Dealing with a break up is never an easy thing.  It is painful and confusing.  I know I’ve been there.  When you break up with someone or they break up with you it is often hard to figure out how you are going to live without them.  But trying to figure out how to go about getting back with your ex is a whole other story.  Here are 3 tips that should really help.

#1. Figure out if you actually want your ex back.

Right now, if you are like most people, your emotions are probably running a little high at the moment.  It is important to take a step back and figure out if you even want to get back with your ex.  Sometimes what drives people to try to win back their ex’s hearts is just not wanting to be alone, and they don’t take into consideration if they really like their ex and actually want to be with them.

Here are some questions to help you decide if you want to be with your ex.  First, do you love your ex?   Second, do you and your ex have enough in common?  Third, do you and your ex have similar goals for the future?

If you ask yourself these questions and answer yes, GREAT! it’s time to move to tip 2.

#2. Take a deep breath.

When I am dealing with a stressful situation my gut reaction is to just fix it and fix it now!

Unfortunately this impulse to fix a stressful situation often leads me to do things that sometimes I regret.  Maybe you can relate. So before you pick up the phone, open your email account, or text message your ex, relax.  Despite what you may think you have time.   It is important right now to work on staying (or becoming calm).  That way when you do approach your ex you are cool and collected and not a desperate maniac.

#3. Confidence wins the day.

After you’ve taken a deep breath and calmed down, one of the most valuable things you can do is to take some time and reflect and improve yourself.  Get a new haircut or color, buy a new outfit, or take up a new hobby.  Trust me when I say your ex is watching you, and hearing through the grapevine what you are up to.  If you show that you don’t need your ex, they will be more interested in you.

I have to tell you that, yes you can win back your ex, it happens every day.

I know the pain of heartache first hand…  I’ve been there, done that, and I’ve learned a few things along the way about making up after breaking up.

First-  This is the hardest… Keep a cool head.

Let me ask you something.  How do you feel when you are around a person who is needy?  Do you want to run the other direction?  I sure do. 

This is a huge mistake that I’ve made tons of times personally in my own life.  When I went through a break up in the past, I would call my ex and bug him.  Guess what?  That didn’t work - at all.  What I’ve learned is to keep a cool head when dealing with an ex.  If I don’t get needy or desperate, and if I keep my thoughts of "I can’t live without you" to myself, my ex is much more interested in me and interested in getting back together.

Second - Look you best.

My guess is you know what is attractive to your ex, right?  Well if you are wondering "Can you win back an ex?" looking your best definately helps.  

First of all, it sets the tone that you are confident and moving on with your life…. After all, we all want what we don’t have, right?  Second, when you look your best, you have a good chance of sparking attraction in your ex.  Trust me, I know from experience that your ex will be watching you very closely right now.  Show them you are confident and attractive and half the battle is won.

 
Last - Do Fun Stuff

This is the best cure for heartbreak ever.  It also has the double whammy effect of drawing your ex back to you like a magnet.  It is so easy to slip into a "woe is me" attitude when you are dealing with a recent breakup.  I know, I’ve been there… eating ice cream and watching TV till 3am, and this is OK for a couple of days.  But let me ask you a question - would you want to be with you when you are depressed?  If you don’t like your own company, your ex won’t like it any better either.

I guarantee that you will instantly feel better when you do something that you enjoy doing.  Personally, I’m a dork, so I would go to a museum with friends, but you can do anything that makes you happy and feel good, and you might be surprised, because your ex will probably call you.

It’s when love crashes and burns that things get a more than a little dificult.  There is no way to see a bad breakup through rose colored glasses.  Breakups just stink, plain and simple.  And they are even worse if you didn’t want to break up in the first place.  I’ve been through breakups like this, and the pain was so intense that I thought I was going to die at the time.

So what do you do when you are faced with a heart in need of triage at your local ER, and no idea what to do about it?

You basically have two choices.

#1: Guess

#2: Learn what works, and win your ex back.

For whatever reason, I’ve done plenty of guessing in my life.  In fact, I have to say that guessing made up almost all of my relationship decisions for the first dozen or so boyfriends I had….  I’ll bet you can guess how well those relationships ended up.

And for some people this works out OK.  I’m convinced that some of us are born with really high relationship IQs, but for the rest of us (like me) we either have to learn relationship skills in the school of hard knocks or we have to learn them from some outside source.  Unfortunately for me, relationships skills aren’t taught in school.  

Back to my story… after figuring out that this relationship stuff wasn’t working for me, I started to read relationship books.  An amazing thing happened.  With this education, my relationships just started to get better.  What I discovered is that good relationships are based on a specific set of skills that nearly guarentee your success.   That is where The Magic Of Making Up comes in.  You see there are a ton of gimmicky, bad products out there that promise to change your relationships fast…. I never had any problem at all with relationships until Mark.  You see, I was so in love with him that I could hardly see straight.  To say he had stolen my heart is an understatement.

We were very much in love, but somewhere along the line, we started to fight.  It was really kind of crazy, because we weren’t (until then) big fighters.  But, once the fighting started we couldn’t seem to stop it, so despite our intense feeling toward one another, we broke up.

I was incredibly broken hearted.  I couldn’t believe how bad it hurt.  I had never been that much in love, and I had never had a heart break that bad either.

I think because I was in so much pain, I did all the classic break up things too.  It was a little bit crazy.  I basically stalked the poor guy.  My motives were good, I really missed him, and just wanted to get him back, but unfortunately for me, my attitude really just turned him off.  I guess that text messaging someone 100 times a day is probably not the best solution to the problem of getting back your ex.

Have you ever noticed that humans seem to be hardwired to do dumb stuff? 

This is especially true when we are feeling desperate and lonely.  If you’re working on getting back ex, then you are probably in this boat.  You probably would like nothing more than to get back together with your ex.  You may be feeling lonely, or sad, or angry.  However, if you act on feeling lonely, sad, or angry it will only make the situation worse.
